June 14th, 2008- Active 20-30 of Bakersfield & Mervyn's receives the "Beautiful Bakersfield Award" for public/private partnership: Collaborations with local businesses, organizations and nonprofits resulted in the 15th annual ChildSpree, giving underprivileged children the ability to start the school year with the clothes and supplies they need to succeed.
